Lockerbie Mansion — Internal Refurbishment

Blue Apple was appointed as architectural consultants for the complete internal refurbishment of Lockerbie Mansion. This substantial residential property required a comprehensive programme of interior renovation to bring it up to contemporary living standards whilst preserving its period character.

As architectural consultants, our role encompassed design development, specification, and technical coordination for the full internal refurbishment. This included spatial reconfiguration, services upgrades, material selection, and detailed interior design across all principal rooms and ancillary spaces.

The refurbishment strategy balanced the retention of the mansion’s period features with the introduction of modern comfort and functionality. Design decisions were guided by a respect for the building’s architectural heritage, ensuring that new interventions complemented the existing fabric.
