Design & Build · London and nationwide
Architectural design, planning permission, construction. One firm, drawings to keys.
Most building projects put a designer on one side, a builder on the other, and you in the middle. We are one firm with one contract: we draw it, we get it approved, and we build it — so there is never a gap for the blame to fall into.
Two front doors
Who are we building for?
Your home
Extensions, lofts and conversions across London. Check whether you even need planning permission, see an indicative fee for the drawings — and, if you choose, one firm to build it too.
Your organisation
Care homes, schools and nurseries, medical and clinical settings, offices, restaurants and community buildings — new build, refurbishment and fit-out, with the compliance evidence institutional clients need.
Years of technical delivery — hospitals, schools and commercial buildings before we brought it to homes.
Contract and one accountable party, from the first measured survey to building control sign-off.
Combined value of the hospitals, schools and commercial projects our founder has helped deliver.
Based in London, working across the city and the United Kingdom.
Why one firm
The gap between drawing and building is where projects go wrong
No blame gap
When designer and builder are different companies, every site problem becomes an argument about whose fault it is — with you in the middle, paying for the delay.
We price what we drew
Our builders price against drawings we produced ourselves. There is less to discover on site, and far less room for the “unexpected” to appear halfway through.
Fixed price, open book
A fixed price against the drawn scope. If something genuinely unforeseen appears, you see the actual invoices and an agreed margin — never a number you cannot check.
Who you are dealing with
Experience earned on considerably larger buildings
Blue Apple is led by a Senior Architectural Consultant with more than twenty years in construction — technical design and delivery on a £150m specialist children’s hospital in London, fire safety packages for a €2.2bn national hospital programme — one of Europe’s largest — and school projects across London and the South East.
That background shows up in the parts of a project most people never see: fire strategy, structural coordination, drainage, thermal detailing — and drawings a building control officer can approve without a fight.
- Measured survey, drawings and planning applications handled end to end
- Building regulations packages a builder can actually build from
- Principal contractor — site safety and trades are our responsibility
- Care home, education and clinical experience, evidenced not implied
- Building control sign-off and the paperwork you need at resale
If you have been let down
We take over stalled and failed projects
A builder who has stopped answering. Work that will not pass building control. An extension a buyer’s solicitor has just discovered was never signed off. These are fixable more often than people expect — we survey what exists, tell you honestly what stays and what goes, and give you a fixed price to finish it properly and get it certified.
What we take on
The range is deliberate
Twenty years of technical delivery across sectors, from a single rear extension to a hospital programme. The building type changes; the discipline does not. We are currently appointed on a 23,616 sq ft whole-building conversion to an educational facility. If your project is not on this list, ask us anyway.
