Orchard Plot — Contemporary Dwelling

Blue Apple was appointed as architectural consultants for this contemporary residential dwelling on a heritage orchard site. Our involvement covered the full design development process through to construction tender stage.

Our scope included initial site appraisal, conceptual design, detailed architectural drawings, planning submissions, building regulation documentation, and preparation of a full construction tender package. The design responded sensitively to the orchard landscape and heritage context of the site.

The design strategy centred on creating a low-profile dwelling that sits comfortably within the orchard landscape. Using locally-sourced materials and a restrained palette, the building was conceived to echo the character of the surrounding area whilst introducing considered contemporary elements.
